Project

The Priory

Client

Oak Scaffolding

Location

Sussex

Date

July 2021

With the historic nature of the building, Node Scaffold Design were brought on to the project to provide complete scaffold design package and analysis. As well as a full 3D model of the structure with surrounding area to ensure that all neighbours and stakeholders could visualise the impact of the works prior to erection and ensure the design was communicated effectively.

The scaffold access erected is to provide full perimeter brickwork access to clean and repair, as well as glazing replacement and safe access for works around the stained glass windows. The roof turret requires minor repair and cleaning and so oversailing access scaffold on each elevation is utilised to support a bridge span across the roof, with supports at the turret location for lateral restraint.

This has been one of our favourite recent 3D projects we have completed, working alongside a new client. With a complex bridged access proposal throughout the structure on each elevation heights, and a beautiful building to work on, we couldn't help but utilise the drone to create the video below to showcase the quality of the scaffold erected and the detail 3D modelling that was involved!
